Arcadis has applied their local knowledge and worked with city leaders to increase competitive advantages, stimulate local economies, and facilitate asset-led transformation through the design and regeneration of new and existing assets. Their contributions to clean air, land and water; critical infrastructure; educational and cultural excellence; commerce; housing—and so much more—are illustrated in these lookbooks.

Print version

Displayed are only a few pages of the LA Lookbook that showcase the major, award winning projects that Arcadis engineered. A total of 3 separate Lookbooks (Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York) were created using similar layouts. These custom brochure designs were used to display projects using one or two images of the projects along with a brief write-up and listing a few major accomplishments of each.

Mobile version

In addition to the printed materials mobile collections of the Lookbooks were developed for Arcadis Connect, a mobile app used as another method of information sharing for the marketing and client development groups.

Transferring the information in these printed pieces into a mobile app environment called for a different page layout design. As the lead designer on this project I sketched out some ideas, thinking of the best way to handle the functionality, navigation and layout of the information that was included in the books. Paying close attention to how the app was organized and the capabilities of the AEM software was the challenge.

The decision was to create articles for each page of the document and group them into a collection inside the Publications section of the app. Each project article includes interactive buttons (overlays) that display slideshows, pop-ups, pan and zoom, image sequence, and scrollable frame features.
